To make matters even worse for Los Angeles, OKC comes into the contest boasting the fewest fouls per game in the league at 15.8. A couple stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: The Clippers are stumbling into the game with the fifth most fouls per game in the league, having accrued 21.4 on average. Los Angeles is now 1-4 while OKC sits at 1-5. Now might not be the best time to take Los Angeles against the spread since they’ve let down bettors for the past two consecutive games. Los Angeles is the favorite in this one, with an expected 12.5-point margin of victory. Shooting guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (15 points) and shooting guard Luguentz Dort (14 points) were the top scorers for OKC. OKC was down 82-58 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 103-82 walloping at the Golden State Warriors’ hands.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma City was expected to have a tough go of it this past Saturday, and, well, they did. One thing holding the Clippers back was the mediocre play of point guard Reggie Jackson, who did not have his best game: he finished with only eight points on 3-for-12 shooting in his 33 minutes on the court. Los Angeles received a tough blow this past Friday as they fell 111-92 to the Portland Trail Blazers. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season averages. ET on Monday at Staples Center after having had a few days off. The Los Angeles Clippers will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder at 10:30 p.m. Who’s PlayingĬurrent Records: Oklahoma City 1-5 Los Angeles 1-4 What to Know OKC’s lead doesn’t mean much since they have only won 0% games in which they are up at the end of the first quarter. The Clippers are in a similar position to Oklahoma City as their squad has been held to no more than four points. OKC hasn’t had any offensive standouts so far with all players held to eight points or fewer. The Thunder have emerged as the frontrunner after one quarter and are ahead of Los Angeles 23-16. The choice here is still clear, it's NBA 2K18.Although the Oklahoma City Thunder came into the contest as underdogs, they’re on track to steal the victory from the Los Angeles Clippers. NBA Live 18 isn't horrible in this area, but the Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy duo gets repetitive a little quicker than the 2K stable.Įven with NBA Live 18's improvements, there's still a major gap between it and NBA 2K18. However, NBA 2K18 returns with multiple announce teams as well as guest announcers Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett. The latter adds lines throughout the season, which is something no other franchise has been able to master.
The only sports game with better commentary than NBA 2K18 is Madden 18. The Multiple Announce Teams in 2K Adds Variety NBA 2K still offers the ability to customize entire teams in MyLeague, as well as expansion, and the creation of players and the editing of existing ones. In fact, there's no level of customization allowed to existing players, teams or arenas. Aside from creating your character for The One, you cannot create players in NBA Live 18. I have a bone to pick with NBA 2K18's create-a-player mode, but at least they have one. 2K excels a bit more in these areas and the visual presentation with stadiums and with overlays is far superior than NBA Live's product.Īlthough, I must give credit to EA for delivering the best halftime show in any sports game, NBA 2K is still the better-looking game in most areas. NBA Live's player renders are hit and miss and their body types and animations are a bit flawed.

2K offers all of that (except the WNBA) plus Blacktop games and other alternative action within The Neighborhood. Unfortunately, that's the extent of the multiplayer options.
#NBA LIVE 18 TRAILER FULL#
While playing The One in NBA Live, fans can take part in full 5v5 games, and they can also enjoy traditional 1v1 with NBA, Ultimate Team or WNBA teams. There's a scant amount of content and no pizazz overall.

NBA Live's version of Ultimate Team is the worst example of the collector mode for any game under the EA Sports banner. The developers added both with Pack and Play and Super-Max features.

The only things MyTeam was missing last year was a draft mode and a salary cap feature. NBA Live 18's franchise mode is embarrassingly barren and doesn't compare in any way. Adding a story to the franchise mode dynamic was a welcomed addition. MyLeague remains the best franchise mode for any sports game and MyGM offers a different twist on the theme.
